For my Computer-Aided Design course, I had to work on a project that required us to use the Sweep feature and/or a Loft feature to model an object with complex curves. I chose to work on a porcelain teapot, which had many curves from its body, spout, and handle (see above for my model, and see below for my reference object).
Through this project, I was able to practice using the regular Loft feature, the Surface Loft feature, and the Sweep feature. And I was also able to realize how I can better model this teapot, since there were some discrepancies in the model that I created in SolidWorks. One can see that my 3D model (see the top of this page) does not exactly replicate the real teapot, but I think it was quite close and I discussed my methodology and the improvements that I would make in my report:
